• Welcome Home: Former assistant to Domenici donates sculpture to NMSU institute
  April 22, 2013 - "Tonita" is back home in New Mexico and Angela Raish couldn't be happier. Tonita is the name of a bronze sculpture of a Native American maiden created by New Mexico-based artist Glenna Goodacre.

• NMSU breaks ground on future Pete V. Domenici Hall
  April 12, 2013 - New Mexico State University held a ceremony to officially break ground on a construction project that will transform the Hershel Zohn Theater into Pete V. Domenici Hall. Construction work will begin later this month and conclude in fall 2014.

• Policy scholar to discuss defense sequestration at NMSU's spring 2013 Domenici Forum
  April 1, 2013 - Gary Schmitt, of the American Enterprise Institute, will take part in New Mexico State University's spring 2013 Domenici Forum at 1 p.m. April 18 at KRWG-TV studios, inside Milton Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

• NMSU's Domenici Institute seeking student panelists for 2013 conference
  Feb. 18, 2013 - New Mexico State University's Domenici Institute is now accepting nominations from faculty and administrators of universities across the state for students to participate in the 2013 Domenici Public Policy Conference. The conference takes place Sept. 18-19 and nominations are due by April 30.

• Chevron donates $250,000 to establish professorship at NMSU's Domenici Institute
  Oct. 2, 2012 - A quarter-million dollar gift from Chevron USA Inc. will help create the Chevron Endowed Professorship in the New Mexico State University College of Business. The professorship is intended to attract and/or reward highly productive faculty members working with NMSU's Domenici Institute.

• NMSU's Domenici Institute working to educate high school students on senator's years of public service
  Sept. 17, 2012 - The work, achievements and legacy of retired U.S. Sen. Pete V. Domenici have been captured in a series of three documentaries that will be making their way to high schools around New Mexico, where students can learn about the positive impact the senator has made on the state he represented for decades.

• Domenici Conference student panelists selected
  July 17, 2012 - Twenty university students from across the state have been chosen to take part in the 2012 Domenici Public Policy Conference, Sept. 19 and 20 at the Las Cruces Convention Center. The specially selected students from New Mexico State University, the University of New Mexico and Northern New Mexico College will be the only audience members allowed to ask questions of the various presenters at the Domenici Conference.

  July 10, 2012 - The man who helped engineer former President Bill Clinton's winning campaign, James Carville, and a prominent adviser to former President George W. Bush, Ambassador Karen Hughes, will tackle the issues at the forefront of this fall's national elections during the 2012 Domenici Public Policy Conference.

  April 19, 2012 - The Domenici Institute for Public Policy has awarded its first round of fellowships to seven New Mexico State University faculty members.

  Jan. 19, 2012 - The Domenici Institute for Public Policy has extended the application deadline for the first round of Domenici Institute fellowships. Applications are now due Feb. 10. Winners of the summer fellowships will be announced no later than March 15.

  Nov. 22, 2011 - The latest installment in former Sen. Pete Domenici's 'Legacy' book series took first place in the political/current events category at the 2011 New Mexico Book Awards. The awards were handed out Nov. 18.

  Aug. 19, 2011 - A one-hour documentary film on the life and career of retired U.S. Sen. Pete V. Domenici makes its premiere on the final day of the 2011 Domenici Public Policy Conference.

  July 18, 2011 - The nation's debt crisis, national security and health care reform are the hot-button topics experts will address at the 2011 Domenici Public Policy Conference Aug. 31-Sept. 1 at the Las Cruces Convention Center, 680 E. University Ave.

• Third book in former Sen. Pete Domenici's 'Legacy' Series now available
  July 14, 2011 - The latest installment in the award-winning "Senator Pete Domenici's Legacy" book series is now on store shelves. The book chronicles the proceedings from the 2010 Pete V. Domenici Public Policy Conference, which took place at New Mexico State University's Corbett Center. This year's "Senator Pete Domenici's Legacy" offers transcripts of presentations made by every speaker at the 2010 conference.

• NMSU's Domenici books honored at 2010 New Mexico Book Awards
  Jan. 27, 2011 - "Not Just New Mexico's Senator," written by Martin J. Janowski, won best political book at the 2010 New Mexico Book Awards. "Senator Pete Domenici's Legacy; The Proceedings from the 2009 Pete V. Domenici Public Policy Conference," edited by Vicki Taggart, was a finalist in the same category. Both books were published in collaboration with Rio Grande Books and New Mexico State University's Domenici Institute.

  Aug. 8, 2010 - Lt. Gov. Diane Denish and 3rd Judicial District Attorney Susana Martinez will speak during the 2010 Domenici Public Policy Conference Sept. 1-2 at New Mexico State University's Corbett Center.

  July 16, 2010 - Fox News contributor Karl Rove, political analyst and commentator Joe Lockhart and ABC News contributor Sam Donaldson are just a few of the speakers scheduled for the 2010 Domenici Public Policy Conference. They will join Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, former Sen. Sam Nunn, Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank President Thomas Hoenig and other guests Sept. 1-2 at New Mexico State University's Corbett Center.

  Jan. 12, 2010 - The book "Senator Pete Domenici's Legacy," edited by New Mexico State University Professor Jon Hunner, has won the award for best anthology of 2009 by the New Mexico Book Awards.

  Nov. 18, 2008 - Yates Petroleum Corp. has donated $500,000 to help New Mexico State University create the Domenici Public Policy Institute, named for retiring U.S. Sen. Pete Domenici.

  Jan. 31, 2008 - Nearly 2,000 boxes filled with documents and memorabilia chronicling the legacy of U.S. Senator Pete V. Domenici are now housed in the New Mexico State University Library. Additional boxes are expected to arrive at NMSU later this year as the university works to build the Domenici Archive collection.
